The End

It’s kind of hard to believe that this is the last week of class. It feels like it was just last week when I walked into the computer lab and was told not to eat or drink anything in there because Mizzou would hunt me down and fine me. Since then, I’ve had both apples and cookies in the lab. It was a good semester, and I’m leaving knowing a lot more than I did when I started.

I’ve learned a lot about the camera– mostly how to delete bad pictures from it, but some other things as well.

I’ve learned not to flirt while using the voice recorder because then the evidence of your failure is crystal clear.

I’ve learned that when you are walking briskly with a tripod, you can pretty much get in any building you want.

I’ve learned that technology can sense fear and will fail you right before deadline.

I learned that Pharrell is 42 years old. That doesn’t have anything to do with multimedia; it was just something I learned this semester.

I learned that online lessons are more online suggestions.

I’ve become much more aware of background noise and how it will screw me up.

I (re)learned the importance of Thank You notes.

I found out that for every good photo, you end up with about 10-15 bad ones.

I learned that journalism is a crazy profession, but you can be very happy doing it.

All in all, it was a great semester. Choosing the 9:00 a.m. lab section for J2150 was probably one of the best decisions I’ve made in college.
